President / CEO Profile
Vince Animashaun, B.S., M.S., (Eastern Illinois University), PhD Student (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign), is the President / CEO of Smart Taxi Corporation and Smart Medical Transport. He inspires and empowers people with entrepreneurial mindsets to develop unique business ideas; he also helps young entrepreneurs to develop strategies that foster organizational effectiveness.
History of Smart Taxi
During his graduate studies at EIU, Vince, like many other students, faced the constant challenges of lack of transportation services in the city of Charleston, IL and surrounding areas. Consequently, he developed a business plan to start a taxi service that will help students get around the city; and to the Amtrak Train Station in Mattoon, IL.
Couple of months after the inception of the Smart Taxi service, it became the preferred taxi service of EIU students and other residents of Charleston, Illinois.
Smart Taxi is a Medicaid Approved Non Emergency Medical Transportation Service, and now offers non-emergency medical transportation (N.E.M.T) in Illinois. The company also provides airport shuttle services in Illinois.
Mission / Vision Statements
Our mission is to provide safe non-emergency medical transportation (N.E.M.T) service in Illinois.
Our vision is to reduce the rate of absenteeism in the hospitals (in the State of Illinois) caused by lack of transportation for the patients ; by providing effective, safe, and reliable N.E.M.T to patients in the State of Illinois.
